SOUTH BEND, Ind -- A look at the history of personal audio and personal transportation from the earliest days of purpose-built car radios will be presented by Kyle Sater, the Studebaker National Museum curator. 

Sater will discuss the history of the car radio and how they became affordable. This began with Motorola's entry into the automotive market in 1930. 

Many different mediums will also be discussed such as phonograph players, 8-track tape decks, cassette tape players, CD players and satellite radio stations.

The Studebaker Museum Speaker Series is presented by the Campisi Family Education Fund and held in the Wiekamp Auditorium. 

The lecture will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, and admission is $2.

Studebaker National Museum and Campus Members are admitted free.
