Stabbing in Berrien County leaves one injured
BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – An argument between a husband and wife last night resulted in a stabbing in Buchanan Township.
Berrien County Dispatch was called around 8:23 p.m. Friday night after a man fled to a neighbor’s residence with a stab wound in the lower leg.
First aid and a tourniquet were used to control the wound and the victim was transported to an area hospital.
The victim is currently in stable condition.
The suspect was found at the crime scene and arrested, and the knife used in the stabbing was located after the suspect tried to throw it into the river.
The suspect was arrested for domestic violence, assault with intent to commit great bodily harm, evidence tampering, and refusing to provide a DNA sample.
Both the victim’s and suspect’s names have not been released.
