St. Joseph man dies in rollover UTV crash in Van Buren County

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. - A St. Joseph man died Thursday evening after getting pinned underneath a UTV following a crash in Keeler Township, according to the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened around 11 p.m.

According to the investigation, the driver, a 53-year-old man, was on the UTV with another adult off 84th Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll over. The driver was partially ejected and pinned underneath the UTV.

Despite lifesaving measures, he died at the scene. His passenger was not injured.

Deputies believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
