LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The La Porte County Sheriff's office responded to the intersection of US 20 and Fail Road for a multi-vehicle crash. Among the vehicles involved in the crash were two New Prairie United School Corporation "minibuses" transporting, members of an athletic team.
Authorities say a total of four vehicles were involved in the crash including one commercial motor vehicle, and a single axle box truck.
Several people were injured and transported to area hospitals for treatment. As of 7:30 p.m. the scene is clear, and the roadways are open.
The crash is under investigation and no further information is being released at this time.
Congressmen Rudy Yakym released a statement on X about the crash saying
Sallyann and I are praying for the New Prairie High School students, coaches, and staff tonight. My team stands ready to assist and support those involved.
