St. Joseph County Police Department asks for any info on shots fired incident on Feb. 19

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Det. Kronewitter with the St. Joseph County Police Department posted a video Thursday morning requesting anyone with information on a Feb. 19 shots fired incident to contact him.
Police say the incident occurred in the 19000 block of Edinburgh Drive around 11 a.m.
Witnesses say two men in all black with black ski masks fired shots from the middle of the road toward an occupied home.
The men are said to have used assault rifles with extended magazines, possibly AK-47s.
Inside the home was a woman and two small children in the basement.
Police say the suspects fired at least 30 rounds at the home.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
Witnesses told police the suspects ran toward Miami Road, where it's believed a car was waiting.
Police say two sets of footprints were found and they could see where a car had pulled off to the side of the road.
Det. Kronewitter said the large caliber rifles in this incident could easily go through a police officer's bulletproof vest.
