ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County 4-H Fair is exchanging their annual fireworks show for the return of the events arena, simply because fireworks have become too expensive.
The events arena has not featured in the 4-H Fair since before the pandemic.
Inflation has impacted the fireworks industry just as much as any other industry, with the price of fireworks rising 35 percent nationwide since last year.
Despite there being no fireworks this year, the rest of the regularly scheduled fun events and activities begin on Friday.
