South Shore making accommodation for Notre Dame football game Saturday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- In preparation for a more-than-normal passenger load this weekend, the South Shore Line will run two trains into the South Bend International Airport and provide a shuttle bus for riders to get to campus.

Train 503 is scheduled to arrive at 11:36 a.m. ET and Train 505 at 4:16 p.m.

The shuttle bus will pick passengers up at the South Shore platform and take them to the stadium, more specifically, the IU School of Medicine Building at 1234 N Notre Dame Ave.

"In addition to our regular service and to accommodate the late game time, the South Shore Line will provide an extra train departing the South Bend Airport 90 minutes following the conclusion of the football game," SSL officials said. "The shuttle bus will stage at the drop-off location on campus and leave with passengers one hour after the conclusion of the game to meet this extra train at the airport."

The Fighting Irish kickoff at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9 at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend.
