South Bend School Corporation looking for help with Mentor Program

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – ABC57 is introducing you to a South Bend School Corporation mentorship program looking for your help.

The program is working to pair community members with kids inside of South Bends Schools for a fresh perspective and a helpful friend for the challenges of school. The mentorship allows students to grow not only social-emotional skills but also academic skills.

The program pairs a student with a community member for 30-60 minutes a week at school or online. SBCSC is currently looking for community members to volunteer as mentors.

Taylor Williams, parent service and membership coordinator of SBSCS, spoke on this new mentorship program.
