SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The United States Attorney’s Office Northern District of Indiana announced 20-year-old Jordan Bowers, of South Bend, was sentenced after pleading guilty to Possession of a Machinegun.
Bowers was sentenced to 3 years and 10 months in prison followed by 2 years of supervised release.
Documents in the case reveal on Jan. 23, 2024, Bowers possessed a firearm equipped with a machinegun-conversion device, otherwise known as a “Glock switch.” The switch makes the gun capable of firing multiple bullets instantaneously.
Authorities say Bowers used the Glock with the attached switch in an exchange of gunfire with another individual driving a car.
