South Bend Man sentenced to 20 years in prison

South Bend Police SAINT JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- On July 1, South Bend native Adonis Hawkins, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for Voluntary Manslaughter with a jail credit of 235 days, as a part of his plea deal.
Hawkins was charged in Dec. 2023 with murder in connection with a May shooting, that resulted in the death of 37-year-old Lecarrington Underwood of South Bend.
