Some students and teachers remain affected by P-H-M Schools ransomware attack

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Officials with Penn-Harris-Madison Schools say their security experts are continuing to locate, isolate, and mitigate Monday's ransomware attack.
District officials say Friday is payday for all P-H-M teachers and staff and their Business Services Department has worked on payroll side by side with one of their vendors off-site, while seeking and receiving assistance from Everwise Credit Union to electronically process paycheck deposits.
School officials say Wednesday's PSAT and SAT testing at Penn High School was successful, with no disruptions, and IREAD at the elementary level is going well.
Officials say Canvas is still down for secondary teachers and students, but another way has been set up for teachers to share class/homework and for students to submit work.
The district says their cyber security team continues to filter through the entire network, 96 terabytes total, to find the infected files to restore all data and operations.
