Beautiful start to the weekend despite morning fog
Cloudy skies during the evening give way to more snow showers overnight as lows fall just below freezing. Snow sticks around Sunday morning with totals coming out to less than an inch for most areas. A change in wind direction early tomorrow may produce some additional lake effect snow for those counties closest to the lake. Expect overcast skies from late Sunday morning onward as temps hover around the mid 30s. The quiet but cloudy weather lasts into the majority of Monday until the first snow showers of a larger winter system move in Monday night. A transition from snow to majority rain takes place in the middle of Tuesday as highs climb into the upper 30s with mixed precipitation lasting for the bulk of Tuesday. The Tuesday morning commute will likely see the biggest impacts due to transition from freezing to above freezing temperatures which will likely cause slick spots and icy patches on the roads. Give yourself extra time for this period of travel.
Tonight: Snow showers. Low 31.
Sunday: AM Snow showers, overcast afterwards. High 36.
Monday: Cloudy. High 38.
Tuesday: AM snow/PM rain. High 37.
