Notre Dame Head Coach Niele Ivey named semifinalist for Coach of the Year

SOUTH BEND, ind. -- Notre Dame Women's Basketball Head Coach Niele Ivey was recognized on Thursday as a semifinalist for Women's College Coach of the Year, presented by Naismith.
Ivey has led Notre Dame to its third consecutive season with at least 25 wins, and the Irish have beaten eight ranked teams this year. Notre Dame also has three wins over top-five programs at the time of the game — USC, Texas and Connecticut, all of which remain top-five teams at the end of the regular season.
From Dec. 5, 2024, to Feb. 23, 2025, Notre Dame won 19 consecutive games for the first time since 2015-16 and earned a share of the ACC regular season title after going 16-2 in the conference.
