South Bend Community Police Review Board met Thursday night
MICHIANA. -- Nov. 30 was Small Business Saturday, and local stores all across Michiana took advantage of one of the biggest days in terms of raking in sales for their company.
South Bend celebrated the occasion over at Howard Park, where members of the community could get their hands on some discounts from businesses in the area.
"This is when we pay our bills. As I like to say, these are some of our best sales days of the year. It's how we, you know, we work all year to this point, but this also is what sets us up for the slower months coming into the new part of the year," stated Founder and CEO of the Botany Shop Ben Futa.
This year marks year 15 of Small Business Saturday nationwide, with the holiday shopping event getting started back in 2010 during an economic recession.
