SJRMC hosts blessing and time capsule ceremony

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- On Thursday, there was a unique blessing at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.

The hospital built a memorial wall featuring cornerstones of the old hospital and a silver cross that was on the building for more than 50 years.

They also buried time capsules from 100 years ago, 50 years ago, and now.

"Well, the time capsule that went in representing this year, we put in a  photo of our team members, we put in a  couple of documents associated with patient care, some descriptions of clinical programs, very similar to the ones we opened up from 100 years ago!" said Al Gutierrez of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.

Commemorative bricks are also available so you can honor your loved ones. They start at $50.
