Six sets of twins walk the stage at Buchanan High School graduation
BUCHANAN, Mich. -- Buchanan High School held its graduation ceremony Thus. evening, where over 100 students took the stage, including the school’s six sets of twins.
The twelve students made up 11.11 percent of the Class of 2025, making the graduation ceremony and school year for Buchanan one-of-a-kind due to the duos.
“These twins are just great kids… they’re all over the place. They’re our theater kids, they’re our athletes, they’re our kids that want to go in to be teachers, they are kids… just involved in everything and they’re just a great group of kids and I’ve never seen a group this large, but a group so involved,” said Buchanan High School Principal, Brian Pruett.
The twins might share the same DNA, may have worn the same twelve tassels and gowns, but each is their own person. One of the pairs, fraternal twins, Sarah and Lilly Brackett, said the number of twins may be odd looking in, but for them, it just makes sense in the Buchanan community.
“I think it’s very representative of Buchanan in a way… we’re just a really unique community with… just a very like supportive group of people around us and I think having six sets of twins is kind of… a good way to represent the community that we have,” said Lilly.
