Single-vehicle I-465 crash claims one life
INDIANAPOLIS,IN--The Indiana State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that took the life of an Anderson man Monday afternoon.
ISP says around 3:30 p.m., police and emergency crews were dispatched to the accident on northbound I-465 near the 46.6 mile marker, just one mile south of the US 40 exit.
Troopers and medical personnel arrived at the scene to find a single male subject that had been ejected from his truck.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A witness to the crash told troopers that the man gradually drove off the right side of the road before the truck began to roll, ejecting the driver.
Troopers are working to determine the cause of the crash.
The deceased man was identified as 35 year-old Richard Morgan. He was driving a Junk King Company box truck that was totaled in the crash.
According to officials, it is believed that Morgan was not wearing a seatbelt.
