Siblings hailed as heroes at Wisconsin temple shooting
OAK CREEK, Wisc. -- The shooting a Sikh temple in Wisconsin could have been much worse if it were not for two siblings.
A brother and sister team, just 11 and 9, are being hailed as heroes for their actions in Sunday's shooting.
The little girl's birthday party for 300 of the family's friends was supposed to begin when the deranged gunman was walking straight toward the two young siblings.
They say they froze at first but then ran back into the temple to warn the others.
The siblings then hid in a pantry with other family friends.
"It seemed like time just froze, but as soon as I realized I just ran as fast as I could to tell everybody before it was too late," Amanat Singh said.
"I feel proud that I helped stopped him because everyone would have all died," Abhay Singh said.
The gunman killed six people in the shooting.
