SOUTH BEND, Ind. - This week, a shelter dog that gained popularity online after being featured in a 'Bachelor' themed photo shoot visited ABC 57.
For about a week, the Berrien County Animal Control office ran a “Bachelor” themed photo shoot for one of its adoptable dogs.
Apollo starred in a series of photos on the office’s Facebook page alongside of staff and volunteers.
Apollo came in as a stray, and has been in the shelter for nine months.
He didn’t end up giving any roses to anyone at Animal Control, so he appears to still be looking for that special someone to welcome him into his "furever" home.
Animal Control officials tell ABC 57 Apollo can be shy and energetic while in his kennel, so he may not make the best first impression to potential owners. Volunteers love Apollo because he's gentle and a sweetheart once you get to know him, so they staged the photo shoot to show off this side of him.
Apollo is an adult male terrier mix. If you’re interested in learning more about Apollo, reach out to the Berrien County Animal Control.
He's waiting to give out his final rose, after all.
