ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.—A semi-truck with a double trailer was hanging from an overpass on the Indiana Toll Road on Tuesday morning.

Indiana State Police said the incident happened before 6 a.m. on Tuesday between mile markers 101 and 102 on the Toll Road, near the S.R. 15 exit.

Preliminary police findings show the truck lost control near the 102 mile marker and crashed into the guard rail, striking the concrete barrier.

The cab of the truck broke free from the trailers and traveled down the embankment, coming to a stop on the railroad tracks below the overpass.

Above the cab, the trailers came to a rest hanging on the edge of the overpass.

The driver of the semi-truck, Jesus Zeigler, 40, of Richton Park, Illinois, was able to get out of the truck by climbing out of the windshield. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
