KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- The Indiana Department of Transportation announced S.R. 13 between Bayview Drive and C.R. 650 E has been closed for urgent road repairs near Syracuse.

INDOT says there's no current timeline for when the road will reopen.

The Town of Syracuse says the emergency repairs are due to S.R. 13's deteriorating conditions.

Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes or use the detour, which includes U.S. 6, S.R. 15, and U.S. 30.

Local traffic will be allowed to travel on the road.
