SBPD officer resigns

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A South Bend police officer cleared of sexual misconduct officially resigned.
Jeffrey Chester was accused of fondling two women last year while on duty.
A jury found him not guilty in May.
The Board of Public Safety accepted Chester's resignation this morning. He will also get back pay for seven months of unpaid leave.
