SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department reports the Violent Crimes Unit is continuing to investigate the shots fired report at Beacon Heights where occupied apartments were struck on Saturday night.

Police responded to the apartments in the 3400 block of Ardmore Trail around 10:40 p.m., Saturday, for shots fired.

Upon arrival, police checked for victims and property damage.

No injuries were reported, but two occupied apartments were struck by gunfire.
