MICHIANA -- National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
You can go to the DEA's website to find collection sites near you. There are multiple locations to properly dispose of prescription drugs on Saturday across Michiana as part of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, including all Michigan State Police posts.
ABC57's Jordan Tolbert spoke with Col. James Grady, Michigan State Police Director.
"650 pounds of prescription medications were turned in last year in October 2025, so again I would convey to everybody the same message, bring in your prescription medication so they can be properly disposed of and you can help keep not only your community and your household safe, but the state of Michigan safe," said Grady.
Col. Grady says MSP will not accept vapes or liquids, only prescription pills or medication. Indiana State Police said they will accept vaping pens without batteries and vaping cartridges at posts.
