Saint Joseph Health System medical offices closed Tuesday due to power outage from small fire

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Saint Joseph Health System announced its medical offices and departments in the Medical Office Building (MOB) at 611 E. Douglas Rd. are currently closed due to a power outage caused by a small fire.

Officials say overheated infrastructure caused a small fire in the MOB, which emergency responders quickly extinguished.

To safely complete repairs, electricity will remain off and patients with affected appointments will be contacted to reschedule their appointments.

Officials say they're working with the building owners to expedite the repairs and determine when offices will be able to reopen.

The Mishawaka Medical Center hospital was not affected and remains open. Patients should attend their appointments as scheduled, and visitors can see family during normal visiting hours.
