Romney faces scathing headlines after questioning London's readiness

LONDON -- Instead of highlighting his own Olympic expertise while overseas, Mitt Romney is now working to get his trip back on track.

On Thursday, he questioned London's readiness for the Olympic games.

It lead to newspaper headlines like "Mitt the Twit" and "Mitt Romney's Disastrous Day".

The Olympic traffic forced Romney to abandon his motorcade and walk to his only meeting with Irish Prime Minister Edna Kenny.

"So you had to walk from the hotel?" asked Kenny.

"Not bad at all. I enjoyed the walk. You also had to walk?" said Romney.

Romney is scheduled to leave London on Friday for Israel where he undoubtedly hopes to make a better impression.
