ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- On Thursday, Republican St. Joseph County Council members Joe Thomas, Amy Drake, Randy Figg, and Andy Rutten filed paperwork to stop the continued growth of hyperscale data centers in the county.

Officials say the resolution directs the area plan commission to amend the zoning ordinance to ban any more hyperscale data centers in the county.

The resolution is set to be voted on at the end of September.
