BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. - - A section of Red Arrow Highway will be closed to thru traffic for the remainder of this month and throughout April as well. 

Starting this Thursday March 6, Red Arrow Highway between Berrien Street and Lakeshore Road with be closed for construction and remain so until May 2025. 

Detours for both northbound and southbound traffic are as follows according to the Berrien County Road Department. 

"Detour for northbound traffic along Red Arrow Highway: Union Pier Road to EB I-94 to Exit 12 (Sawyer Road). Detour for southbound traffic along Red Arrow Highway: Sawyer Road to WB I-94 to Exit 6 (Union Pier Road)."

For those looking to visit local businesses both northbound and southbound along the closed section, the Road Department recommends using alternative routes nearby. For those businesses located between Brown Road and Acorn Path, drivers are recommended to travel from East Road. For those traveling to businesses south of Acorn Path, the Road Department recommends coming from Union Pier Road or Warren Woods Road.
