A few clouds will be around tonight for a very cold start to baseball season in South Bend. Temperatures at first pitch at Four Winds Field will likely be just above freezing, with lows falling into the middle 20s overnight. Rain showers are likely by Wednesday afternoon, though some snowflakes could try to mix in at times. Highs will finish in the lower 40s. Rainfall amounts above half an inch are possible by the time precipitation ends Thursday morning. Highs will be near 50 Thursday and Friday, with more sunshine expected to start the weekend. Milder weather returns this weekend and to start next week. Highs will return to the 60s Sunday and the 70s are a real possibility Monday as dry weather takes over.
