Juday Creek Golf Course hosts groundbreaking ceremony for new clubhouse

GRANGER, Ind. -- The Juday Creek Golf Course officially broke ground Sept. 22 to start construction on the new clubhouse.

The original clubhouse burned down in August 2024, leaving rubble and plans for what’s to come.

State Senator Linda Rogers owns the clubhouse with her family and says the cause of the fire is still unknown.

“We never determined the cause,” Senator Rogers said.

“We had experts come in from all over the country, and we still couldn't figure what it was caused by.”

The family experienced significant delays in starting new construction for the clubhouse due to a rise in construction costs and building regulations.

“We originally wanted to build something very similar to the old clubhouse,” Senator Rogers said.

“After the plans were drawn, due to the significant rise in construction costs and regulations, it was out of budget. So, we literally had to start over."

After months of rebuilding plans, a model for the clubhouse was approved, and construction is in the works.

The family is anticipating the new clubhouse to finish late next summer.
