Prosecutor's Office files delinquency petition against juvenile in death of Donnie Gray, Jr.

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office filed a delinquency petition against a 16-year-old accused of being involved in the death of 15-year-old Donnie Gray, Jr., on March 16.

Prosecutors also filed a motion requesting the teenager be tried as an adult.

The juvenile has been charged with reckless homicide, a level 5 felony when committed by an adult, and dangerous possession of a firearm, a misdemeanor when committed by an adult.

Because he is a juvenile, ABC57 News will not be releasing the name of the alleged suspect.

Gray was shot and killed on March 16 in the 2600 block of Prairie Ave, according to police.
