SAINT JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind.— With cell phone bans in place for both Indiana and Michigan schools under new laws, the question becomes: what are the consequences for students caught using their device?
For most school districts in Michiana, there are tiered or progressive discipline systems for policy violation, which means the more violations, the harsher the punishment.
ABC57’s Julianne Grohowski spoke with local school leaders and takes a closer look at the range of discipline under schools’ cell phone policies.
