Penn State adding players' names to football jerseys

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Penn State University is making a change to its iconic uniforms.

The names of each football player will be placed on the back of their jerseys.

The change is to recognize the players' dedication to the team and the university in the wake of severe NCAA sanctions.

Penn State lost 112 previous victories and faces a four-year bowl ban, a loss of scholarships and a $60 million fine.

This comes after fallout from former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky’s child sex abuse case.

Each uniform will feature a blue ribbon supporting child abuse victims.
