One dead after struck by train in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Police confirm that one person died after being struck by a train Friday night.

Police said they are not sure where the person was struck but that the victim was dragged by the train.

Body parts were found at the intersection of Mishawaka Avenue and 30th street.

They cannot identify whether the victim was a male or female, at this time. 

Police are investigating and this is a developing story.
