Patch work to cause lane restrictions on Jefferson Road

ABC 57

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Growth announced a subcontractor for NIPSCO has scheduled a repair on Jefferson Road originating from work performed by NIPSCO last summer between East Avenue and Pershing Drive.

Officials say this involves replacing a temporary asphalt patch with permanent concrete pavement which couldn't be done last year due to cold weather once NIPSCO completed their work.

The patch is within the center left turn lane of Jefferson Road across from the A.M. General Truck Entrance.

Officials say the traffic pattern will vary as westbound traffic will shift slightly to the north while the left lane is closed for repairs.

The work is expected to start on Tuesday, April 22, and continue until April 28.
