ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Police Department reports U.S. 20 between Spruce and Walnut is currently closed due to a two-vehicle crash which occurred around 12:09 p.m., Monday.

Police say a pickup truck pulling a trailer was heading east on U.S. 20 towards South Bend, when another pickup truck heading north on Walnut turned left onto U.S. 20 towards New Carlisle.

The vehicles collided and police say the drivers of each truck were taken to the hospital.

The truck driver pulling the trailer received minor injuries.

Police are currently awaiting an update on the second driver's condition.

The St. Joseph County FACT Team is investigating.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area as of 1:30 p.m., Monday.
