NILES, Mich. -- The City of Niles announced Second Street between Main Street and the alley to the north will be closed for the construction of a downtown public outdoor space, starting on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
City officials say the site is expected to be fenced off, but the sidewalks will be accessible to local businesses.
Officials expect the project to be completed on or around Nov. 22.
