Opening of Mary Gibbard Pool Goes Swimmingly

MISHAWAKA, Ind.-- What a great day to get outside and enjoy this weather!

For the Mary Gibbard pool in Mishawaka it was the first time in a long time.

The pool was closed last summer because there weren't enough members to keep it active.

But this year they have big plans.

"I'm hoping this pool stays open year-in year-out. We just started adding some things. We've got some new picnic tables and some shade and some new lounge chairs out here. We're hoping to add some more and maybe in the years to come we can add some different activities too.", said Pool Director Joe VanNevel.

They even said they are renting out the pool for parties and events.
