One sent to hospital following two-vehicle crash in Elkhart County

GOSHEN, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office responded to a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday morning in Goshen that sent one person to the hospital.
Deputies were dispatched around 3:40 a.m. Wednesday to the area of C.R. 40 and C.R. 17.
The report states that a Chevrolet Cruze, driven by a 21-year-old Goshen man, was traveling west on C.R. 40 when he went off the road on the north side, reemerged back into the westbound lane, then crossed into the eastbound lane of C.R. 40 directly in front of a Chevrolet Silverado driven by 32-year-old man.
Both vehicles sustained extensive front-end damage, and the driver of the Cruz was taken to Goshen Hospital for minor injuries.
The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office is currently conducting further investigation into the incident.
