One person shot and injured in drive-by shooting in Berrien Springs
BERRIEN SPRINGS, Mich. – A Speedway employee was injured in a drive-by shooting at the gas station on N. Cass Street early Saturday morning, according to the Berrien Springs Oronoko Township Police Department.
At 3 a.m. police were called to the gas station for reports of a shooting.
When they arrived, they found an employee who had been shot in the leg.
The employee and witnesses told police several people had been in the parking lot arguing and a vehicle drove by and one of the passengers fired several shots from a rifle towards the people in the parking lot.
The employee was standing near the entrance and was shot in the leg.
The building was hit by several rounds.
At 9 a.m. police located the suspect at a home in Oronoko Township. He was taken into custody without incident.
He was identified as 22-year-old Ethan William Hoge.
