One injured in shooting early Monday morning in Benton Harbor

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. - Benton Charter Township Police Department reports on Memorial Day morning at around 3:42 a.m., officers were called to the area of 1921 Union 2D regarding a man being shot.

On arrival, authorities say they encountered a 54-year-old man who informed them he'd been shot in his left arm.

The man was then transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police state the suspect, a 33-year-old man, was found near the scene and taken to the Berrien County Jail on related charges.
