ABC 57 SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend city officials announced that starting Tuesday, September 2, old US 31 from Kern Road south to the city limits will be milled and resurfaced. The street will remain open during paving operations, but will be restricted.
Once old US 31 is reopened to full traffic, the street will be a three-lane corridor with two travel lanes with a center turn lane. The anticipated completion date is the beginning of October, weather permitting.
