ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Walking is a way to exercise for humans, but also dogs and other animals. 

Dogs need socialization and going on walks with a dog can increase the bond between their owners. 

Ox Bow County Park is hosting a dog walk at Ox Bow Haus on Sept. 5 at 5 p.m.

The walk is estimated to take 45 minutes to an hour. 

Signs will be up for individual dog walking, but group dog walking is also available. 

Doggy bags and water will be provided. 

Directions to the shelter: From the gatehouse, take the first road to the left. Ox Bow Haus Shelter will be the first building on the right.
