Notre Dame's Hannah Hidalgo enters ballot for John R. Wooden Award
Notre Dame SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Dame's Hannah Hidalgo has been named to the 2026 Women’s National Ballot for the John R. Wooden Award on Sunday.
Hidalgo is one of 15 players to earn a spot on the ballot.
The list contains 20 student-athletes who are frontrunners for the most prestigious honors in college basketball, which include the Wooden Award All-American Team and the Wooden Award Most Outstanding Player.
Hidalgo averaged 25.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.4 steals and 5.3 assists per game. Hidalgo is the only women’s player at the DI level since the 1999 season to average at least 25 points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals in a game.
In the final game of the regular season, Hidalgo recorded 30 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and five steals in a road win over No. 10 Louisville, becoming the first ACC player to have 30 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and five steals in a game since 2001.
