EDWARDSBURG, Mich. — The Eddies boast a smash mouth, run the ball down your throat brand of football. Friday night, they put that on full display against Jimtown and cruised to a 55 to 12 victory. The Jimmies were missing several key players, and Edwardsburg took full advantage, exploiting holes in the Jimtown defense.
After the win, Eddies’ head coach Dan Purlee said “we're pleased with a 55 to 12 win, thought there was some breakdowns on offense that we have to clean up, we've got a challenging schedule ahead so we're going to have to clean those things up, but I thought the defense played really well, thought we played with a lot of energy, we were physical, flying around on that side of the ball."
Edwardsburg’s next matchup will be at home against Sturgis on September 11th, and Jimtown will look to rebound on the road against John Glenn.
