ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. –– A group of Notre Dame students decided to give back to the community through a different variation of the historic "Catholics vs. Convicts" t-shirts. Their concept is "Catholics vs. Corona".
The four friends got permission to use the concept from a couple Notre Dame women's lacrosse players, who originally had the idea.
Since then, the students have sold over 100 shirts, and they have 500 more ready for order. All the proceeds will go to the United Way COVID-19 Community Response and Recovery fund.
“We know there are a lot of people who are having really big problems with this crisis and that relatively, we are all lucky to be where we are," group member Mitch Johnson said. "So we kinda just wanted to take this opportunity to help those people who are struggling more than we are."
You can find more information on how to support their cause on catholicsvscorona.com.
