NOW: Notre Dame powers past Navy in a snowy showdown at home

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- It was a winter wonderland inside Notre Dame Stadium Saturday night, but the weather couldn’t stop the Irish. Notre Dame rolled past Navy 49–10, marking their seventh straight win of the season.

The Irish bounced back strong after a slow game against Boston College. It’s also the second straight matchup where Notre Dame didn’t allow a single point in the second half.

Running back Jeremiyah Love once again showed why he’s in the Heisman Trophy conversation, putting up another big performance. Head Coach Marcus Freeman praised Love after the game, calling him “one of the best players in the country.”

Quarterback CJ Carr was steady through the air, throwing for 218 yards and three touchdowns — one of them to Malachi Fields, who led the team with 97 receiving yards. On the ground, Love ran for 94 yards, helping the Irish offense stay balanced.

Defensively, the Irish held Navy to just 10 points, all in the first half. Devonta Smith, back from injury, had a standout game, while Jaden Ausberry tallied eight tackles and a sack. Drayk Bowen added five tackles as the defense totaled five tackles for loss on the night.

As the snow fell under the stadium lights, the atmosphere was pure magic — “Touchdown Jesus,” the snow, and another dominant win for Notre Dame.

Now sitting at 7–2, the Irish hit the road next week to face Pittsburgh, looking to keep their playoff hopes alive.
