DELPHI, Ind. - New information in the high-profile Delphi murders trial.
The special judge in the case ordered the unsealing of documents related to the murders of
Abby Williams and Libby German back in 2017.
Richard Allen is scheduled to stand trial on those murders in January of 2024.
One of the documents released details a phone call Allen made to his wife last April while he was in prison.
According to that document Allen admitted several times to her that he killed the two girls.
It is unclear at this time if that admission will be used in the case.
Other information includes the cause of death of the two girls.
Indications are that their wounds were caused by a sharp object.
Investigators now believe the murder weapon was likely a knife.
