NDFB announces two season-ending injuries, weeks before season opener

SOUTH BEND -- Notre Dame Football announced Saturday Tight End Kevin Bauman & Running Back Kedren Young have gone down with season-ending knee injuries.
According to Notre Dame Football PR on X, Young suffered a tear to his right ACL.
He appeared in seven games for the Irish last season, rushing for 116 yards & scoring one touchdown, which came in Notre Dame's 51-14 victory over Navy.
Bauman suffered an articular cartilage injury to his left knee, marking another season ending injury for him.
He had previously gone out with injuries in 2021, 2022 and 2023 before playing in the 2024 season, where he notched a touchdown in Notre Dame's 66-7 victory over Purdue.
He announced his retirement on Instagram this afternoon.
