NAPPANEE, Ind. -- Nappanee's Apple Festival continues through this weekend, with multiple activities and vendors to supply all your apple needs.
Over 200 vendors were available at the event, selling a variety of items like jewelry, art, clothing, and apple themed food. All served food was apple-oriented including apple dumplings, apple root beer floats, apple pies, apple bread, apple fritters and much more.
Many rides were open to the public including a merry-go-round and some small roller coasters.
An estimated 1,200 people attended the festival on Saturday, with many from our local community and some traveling miles to join in on the festivities.
"Being in a small town, everybody likes to come out and support the community. And so, from food to shopping to the entertainment, there's so much to do for every everybody in your family here." said Amber Reed, Owner of Studio 574.
"I actually talked to two ladies this morning. They came up from Indianapolis and said that they come up here every year, right?" stated Reed, "It's cool to see that this continues to stay strong year after year, and all of the people that come from miles around just to support."
